Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) has asked Trai to share data relating to segment-wise financials of BSNL and the amount of access deficit charge (ADC) collected since May 2003 to help it evaluate and provide inputs to the current consultation process on interconnect charges."We request Trai to share with us the data on segmentwise reporting of financials for the licenced services of BSNL as per Trai accounting separation norms, traffic data involving varied types of calls between incumbent and other access providers and data for different long distance slabs within and outside circles," COAI said in a letter to the regulator. The association has also sought financial data demonstrating deficit in fixed access business after accounting separation of BSNL into licenced service categories and information about ADC collected by BSNL and other basic operators since the time it was first implemented in May 2003."In the last two years, the previous reviews have relied significantly on approximations of indicative/sample data made available by the incumbent for the purpose of arriving at the quantum of ADC," the letter said.
