The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka government's directorate of employment and training (DET), to organise a training programme for ITI teachers. |
According to the MoU, NTTF (Nettur Technical Training Foundation), a member of CII, will impart vocational training in electronics, mechanical and computer engineering with the support from DET to train ITI teachers. |

CII-NTTF has also agreed to co-operate and assist DET in becoming the implementing agency of the skill development programme for ITI Teachers in Karnataka. |

NTTF has agreed to identify and recommend suitable training programmes in consultation with similar institutes in Karnataka for the upgradation of ITI teachers in Karnataka. |
|
Programmes will be conducted at NTTF facilities at Peenya and Electronic City in Bangalore and Dharwad. The phase I of the training will cover 100 ITI teachers. |

The MoU was signed by Daljit Mirchandani, chairman, CII Karnataka on behalf of CII and C N Seetharam, Director - Employment and Training. |
