Cisco opens exchange centres in 8 cities

Leading information technology solutions provider Cisco has set up Linksys by Cisco Exchange Centres in eight cities, which will provide greater convenience and time savings for end-consumers who require product exchange service.

Talking to the reporters here today, Cisco Asia Pacific vice-president for consumer business group Craig Gledhill said Linksys by Cisco Exchange Centres will provide product exchange services to its customers throughout the country.

He said the service centres have been set up in Baroda, Surat, Goa, Nagpur, Indore, Kochi, Thiruvanandapuram and Jaipur.  He said tier II and III cities have huge potential of business growth and Cisco has turned its focus on such cities where its products will be made available with back-up service centres.

"We have seen double-digit growth in our business in India and with focus on smaller cities, the business can further been enhanced," he added. According to him, Cisco products are sold through its 1,800 partners with 200 of them in Gujarat.

He said the company will also increase its dealer and partners base in the country so as to cater to the larger market and consumer segment. Currently, Cisco products are available in around 250 cities and towns, he said.
