CIT to begin from Feb 4

Communication and Information Technology, CIT 2005, the annual conference-cum-exhibition on communication and information technology, will be organised in Ahmedabad from February 4 to 6.
 
The event is being jointly organised by the Gujarat chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and department of science and technology, government of Gujarat.
 
The two-day conference has been organised on February 4 and 5 at Tagore Hall, Paldi, while a three-day exhibition will be organised simultaneously at Sanskar Kendra grounds, Paldi, in Ahmedabad.
 
The theme of the event is `Harnessing CIT for Enterprise and Socio Economic Development' with a special focus on the IT sector in Gujarat. This is the fourth time that CIT is being organised in the state.
 
CIT 2005 chairman Jagrut Vyas told newspersons on Monday in Ahmedabad that this year's version of CIT is being organised on a big scale with conferences, exhibitions, live video conferences and the like.
 
He added that participants in the event are likely to include top officials of companies in the banking and financial services, government and policy makers.
 
Some eminent speakers at the event will include Kishore Chaukar, managing director of Tata Industries, Charles Anthony, managing director, Tata Teleservices, Maharashtra, Ketan Bakshi, managing director of Neil Soft, Srinivas Rao of SAP India and others.
