Cybernet-SlashSupport (CSS) has announced that it has been chosen as a preferred partner to deploy IBM's new 'Open Client' solutions in the Indian and US markets. |
CSS will promote and offer services around IBM solutions out of its strong offshore base in Chennai. |
To help customers deploy the solution, CSS will offer services such as jumpstart, end-user segmentation, value assessment, application migration, pilot management and deployment, and ongoing support. |
CSS will provide a dedicated team to support the collaborative solutions and middleware on Linux, a CSS release said, without details on the duration or size of the deal. |
CSS has had a working relationship with IBM, especially in providing interoperability and other services on the latter's open source platforms, for over a decade and executed projects for several of the top global companies. |
Shiva Ramani, co-founder and chief executive officer of CSS said in a statement that becoming IBM's preferred partner was well aligned with the company's mission of helping enterprise clients drive down the cost of IT operations, while improving service levels. |
CSS employs close to 5,000 people, with offices in North America, Europe, and Asia, besides Chennai. In April this year, Goldman Sachs had led a $25-million investment round into the company. |
