Cyberoam, an Ahmedabad-based Elitecore's Unified Threat Management (UTM) solution offering integrated internet security service to corporate companies has tied up with Russia-based, Kaspersky Lab. |
Cyberoam has sourced the anti-virus and anti-spam technology from Kaspersky Lab to provide the service to its client. |

"Kaspersky Lab has expertise in anti-virus and anti-spam solutions with rapid response to the newest threats and the highest virus and spyware detection rates which we will use to match the high levels of granularity of Cyberoam UTM features," Harish Chib, VP-Marketing, Elitecore Technologies, vendor of Cyberoam told Business Standard. |

Cyberoam will provide the security service including firewall, anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-phishing to more than 1000 corporates, educational institutes and government organisations worldwide, said Chib. |

"We have more than 1000 clients including NHPC, Adani, Cadila, Inductotherm and many more to whom we will provide our new anti-virus service along with UTM features," he added. |

"Kaspersky Lab offers the most comprehensive and up-to-date technological developments capable of withstanding the whole spectrum of modern electronic threats including viruses, hacker attacks and spam," said Chib. |

"The integration of Kaspersky Lab's advanced technologies into the Cyberoam UTM solution will cost around between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh based on the size of strength of client," said Chib. |

Cyberoam anti-spam features include individualised spam policies as well as enhanced reporting and flexibility. |
|
"By integrating with Kaspersky, the Cyberoam solution will be able to offer anti-virus protection over five critical protocols like HTTP, SMTP, POP, IMAP and FTP, effectively containing threat entry," said Chib. |

"Secondly, the features like spam categorisation, multi-tier spam filtration and easy administration are added advantages," he added. |

Talking about the industry, Chib said, "The size of the industry of security service with anit-virus is worth of $ 64 million in India." |

He further said that the turnover of the company was around 15 crore during 2005-06. |
|
"Our strength is over 200 employees with more than 60 per cent of them being software engineers," he said. |
