Global consulting services provider Deloitte & Touche is planning to increase its total employee strength in India from 8,750 to 12,000 by 2010.Roopen Roy, managing director, Deloitte, said: "We are also looking at more centers in eastern India to expand our business. Eastern India is a significant market for consulting services because of manufacturing and mining clients here."Deloitte currently has two offshore centers in Hyderabad and Mumbai. The company plans to focus on consulting business for verticals like strategy, operations, human capital and technology. The $23.5 billion company earns $9 billion from consulting.
