Dendrite International, the $400 million US-based provider of software solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, has announced plans to double its software development strength in Bangalore to touch 300 plus in the current year. |
Said Garry Johnson, senior VP & CTO, Dendrite: "We started our development team last year and currently have close to 150 developers here. We plan to double this during the current year and eventually we will have 500 developers in India. Initially, we started our centre in India for cost-savings, but we have realised more value in this centre. The centre has developed a product customised to Indian pharma companies with which we are foraying into the Indian market as well." |

He said that the product, which is a sales force effectiveness solution, provides sales forces with a robust set of customer relationship management capabilities that promotes team selling, multi-channel customer management, information sharing, field reporting and analytics. |
|
"This product creates a Life Sciences tailored mobile application, that is easy to use and is built on human centric design principles and a new .Net technology framework, enabling enhanced usability and workflow that ensures maximum efficiency for the sales force," Johnson added. |
