Within a week of the Apple’s smartwatch reaching its fan, who had been keenly awaiting the product, complaints have begun to pour in. First, there were complaints that sensors did not work properly. Now, the complainers are saying the strap of the watch causes rashes.

The latest complaints, reported on Italian website iSpazio, accompanied pictures of an Apple watch owner with red splotches around the wrist.

One user complained on Reddit about the skin irritation caused by the white sport band. Another post on the site claimed the user approached Apple to complain about the skin irritation, and was told the customer service would get further information and revert.

“Apple ensures it takes a great deal of care and research before choosing materials for its devices. In addition to ensuring all materials adhered to existing regulations, we developed our own specification for the Apple Watch that went beyond the requirements,” Apple was quoted as saying.

Apple has also said its watch, the space gray Apple Watch Sport, the stainless steel portions of some Apple Watch bands, and the magnets in the watch and bands contain some nickel. However, the use of the material is below the strict nickel restrictions set by Europe’s REACH regulation. But people allergic to nickel-related reactions could face problems with the exposure.

And people who have reactions to adhesive bandages should also be wary of the iWatch. Also, wearing the watch too closely or too loose might cause some other problems, Apple explains on its website.

In addition, people with tattoos and those wearing long sleeves might find the sensors not working properly.
