Ahmedabad-based, eInfochips tied up with US-based advanced verification specialist Eve to accelerate the functions of verification or testing of the design of the hardware.

The tie-up will expand and complement the internally-developed synthesizable transactor library for Eve's ZeBau (Zero Bug) emulation platform.

"After making the new component by eInfochips for ZeBu, Eve will offer a catalogue of peripheral intellectual property (IP) components to address wireless, graphics, video, multimedia, networking and embedded processor markets," said Tapan Joshi, vice president marketing of eInfochips.

"The components are organised in three families "" synthesizable memory models, hardware bridges and synthesizable transactors. While eInfochips will develop synthesizable transactors to support popular standard and proprietary protocols," he added.

Further, he said eInfochips is currently developing an 'Amba-AHB' transactor, specifically designed for ZeBu.

"This was the first component made by eInfochips for Eve and we will further make more such components. These components will help the users of Eve across the world and we can also sell this component directly to the Eve users," said Joshi while adding that the cost of the component is based on the usage.

Some of the clients of Eve includes Philips, ST Microelectronics, Texas Instruments, Toshiba, Fujitsu, NEC, ARM, Nortel, Conexant, Sanyo and ATI.

"Our partnership with Eve will enable eInfochips to extend its functional verification expertise to hardware accelerator-based verification," said Tapan Joshi.

"We look forward to developing a library of transactor IP for various domains jointly with EVE, and leveraging this expertise to provide verification and validation services to our customers, ensuring successful tape-out," he said.
