The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Fapcci), with technical support from city-based IT products company Syscon Solutions Private Limited, will be providing Syscon Cronus, an integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the state.

Part of the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), an international donor agency which is currently running about 35 projects around the world, the initiative is aimed at extending the solution to around 300 MSMEs during the current financial year, Syscon founder and managing director, Vijay Venkatesh, said here on Thursday.

GTZ has initially introduced the SaaS tool in the pharmaceutical sector. Having seen its success in the pharma sector, GTZ has assigned the responsibility to Fapcci, including extending a small grant towards marketing support, to promote the solution for the benefit of MSMEs and other industry verticals, Fapcci said in a press release.

Fapcci, a state-level apex body of industry, commerce and trade, currently has 3,200 member companies and sees a potential to provide the IT solution to at least 1,500 of them through the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.

“While the server will be hosted at the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) data centre in Hyderabad, Fapcci will be creating an internal resource pool of professionals, about 30 to start with, to support the MSMEs in training and implementation as well as to work as end-users,” he said.
