The BPO centre in Krishnagiri district is offering its services to three companies.
Fostering Technologies in Rural Areas (Fostera), a rural BPO-cum-call centre in the state, is set to sign agreements with Microsoft and with Mumbai-based Sparsh BPO company.
Speaking to Business Standard, MR Ashok Kumar, chief executive officer and secretary Fostera, said the company would provide certificates along with Microsoft to students upon completion of a 40-hour computer course, developed by the latter.
With Sparsh, the centre would offer voice-based service, followed by non-voice.
The BPO centre in Krishnagiri district is offering voice and non-voice based services to three companies. It is also providing its services to the Krishnagiri district administration.
For the Krishnagiri administration, the centre is compiling and verifying ration cardholders apart from digitising birth and death certificates and criminal records for the police department.

The company currently employs around 40 people in Krishnagiri district and plans to add another 700 seats in Krishnagiri, Hosur and Uttangarai soon.
Krishnagiri will also become the first district in south India to take up auditing work for the aviation industry after Mumbai and Pune in the country. In this regard, it has awarded the training programme to Bangalore-based Trade Wings. The BPO centre is expected to offer jobs related to the aviation work by March first week, said Kumar.
