G'Five to launch tablet PCs below Rs 10,000 in India

Chinese company G'Five today said that it will launch Google's Android and Microsoft's Windows software based tablet computers below the price range of Rs 10,000 by end of June 2011.

"G'Five plans to launch its range of tablet computing devices in Indian market by the end of June 2011. We strongly believe that the benefit of the technology should not be limited to a few but must be available to the masses," Arshit Pathak, managing director, Kingtech Electronics India said.

Kingtech Electronics is fully-owned Indian subsidiary of G'Five International.

"Both the Android and Windows-based tablet computing devices shall be launched in India," he said.

The company has plans to launch two 7 inches and 10 inches in size Android base tablet PC. The Windows model will be 10 inches in size.

"These shall be WiFi and 3G powered and the price range will be below Rs 10,000 - shattering the price barrier once again," Pathak said.

While declaring its India business plan, the company said that it has also extended the warranty of its mobile phones to 500 days as against the industry average of 365 days.

As part of its business expansion plan, G'Five is conducting feasibility study for mobile phones manufacturing in India.

The company is in the process of tying up with retail operators who have chain of stores across the country.
