India's largest business process outsourcing (BPO) company, Genpact today reported a 27 per cent increase in net income at $16.30 million (around Rs 64.4 crore) for the third quarter ended September 30, 2007. |
The revenues in the quarter were up 32 per cent to $214.6 million (around Rs 847.67 crore) year-on-year and up 7 per cent from the second quarter of 2007. |
For the year, Genpact announced an increase in its revenue guidance to 30-32 per cent from an earlier prediction of 28-30 per cent, when compared with its year-end 2006 results. |
Meanwhile, the adjusted income from operations margin is expected to remain relatively constant. The revision in future guidance has been attributed to the strong business demand among clients. |
The company's revenue growth has come from its banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) clients and its manufacturing clients, with each group contributing approximately 45 per cent of net revenues. |
The mix between business process services and IT services offered by Genpact has also remained fairly constant at approximately 75 per cent and 25 per cent of net revenues, respectively. |
Pramod Bhasin, president and CEO, Genpact, said "Clients seeking to benefit from our focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement based on our deep Six Sigma, Lean and re-engineering expertise have driven our growth." |
