Now recommending friends for jobs could fetch you Rs 10,000. San Francisco-based social networking site for technology professionals, techtribe.com, offers its members the opportunity to do just that, with the launch of its referral recruiting service, frontFoot. |
The subscriber companies post high-paying job opportunities on techTribe leading to techTribe members (Tribers) referring other Tribers as candidates for the posted jobs. |
If the company hires a candidate that was referred, the Triber who made the referral is rewarded with Rs 10,000. The Triber responsible for bringing the hired candidate into the techTribe network is also rewarded with Rs 2,000. |
Techtribe.com was launched last year and receives 500-1000 registrations everyday. Targeting the middle-management IT-BPO segment, Techtribe has tied up with i-gate, Genpact, Core objects and Morgan Stanley in the last one year. |
Commenting on its client base, Rohit Agarwal, CEO, techtribe said: "We are flooded with offers but we're being very selective. We are in no hurry to expand our client base, but we will tie-up with about 50 companies by the end of the year." |
The frontFoot enables the candidates to approve each frontFoot referral before their details are sent to the recruiting manager ensures that the referring Triber's referral track record is taken into account by the recruiting manager when evaluating candidates. Agarwal added they were currently focusing on the Indian market and had no plans of extending it in the global sphere for the time being. |
Over the next two months, the company plans to introduce new features including offering structured professional advice to the members and ease in the interviewing process. |
