Chinese smart phone company Gionee today launched its first 'Made in India' phone in Visakhapatnam. Gionee's new lifestyle F Series, F103. are now manufactured at Foxconn facility in Sri City in Andhra Pradesh.
A few weeks back Xiaomi, another Chinese mobile phone company, rolled out its MI series smart phones from this facility.
Having sold over 4 million devices in India already, the company is looking at doubling the sales in the current year, backed by the support provided through its India manufacturing arrangement, it said.
Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who was the chief guest at the launch function, said that with the current interest levels, he was confident that his state will be producing 6-7 million phones per month by the end of next year.
Gionee F103 is high on style quotient and brings a smooth user experience, the company said Gionee F103 is packed with 1.3 GHz Quad Core for faster processing, smoother viewing and browsing experience.
It also has 127 cm HD 1280*720 IPS Dragontrail display and with Amigo 3.0 OS that runs on the advanced Android 5.0, according to the company.
