Not surprisingly the top-10 league of the report is crowded with international names.
While Google sits at the top of the list (replacing Walmart) after being valued at $44billion, Microsoft, which has been valued at $42billion, was a close second. Apple, which recently launched its iPad2, is eighth in the list with a value of $29.5 billion. Only one UK brand figured in the top 10 with Vodafone replacing HSBC. Coca-Cola’s decline, however, has grabbed headlines, with the soft drinks major seeing its value drop by $9 billion sliding from the third position to 16 th in the annual list.
