Infosys chief N R Narayana Murthy is likely to visit Hyderabad on March 27 to be present at the signing of MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government for setting up his company's campus, sources in the IT department told Business Standard. |
It may be recalled that the company's high-level team visited Hyderabad and met chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on February 16, 2006, to discuss with the latter the proposed MoU for the allotment of land and other facilities. State government hopes to see a new phase in the development of IT sector in the state with the biggest-ever campus proposed to be set up by Infosys near the upcoming Hyderabad international airport. |

Officials in the IT department have confirmed that the government has decided to allot over 550 acres of land to Infosys for its proposed self-contained campus in the 1200-acre multi product IT SEZ. Infosys has set up its first development centre in Hyderabad in over 30-acre land in 2003. |

The company now employs about 5,000 professionals at its Hyderabad operations. The new campus will dwarf the Hitec City, the hub of IT operations in Hyderabad, which has come up in an area of about 140 acres. |

Keeping In line with the likely announcement of Infosys' future operations in Hyderabad, the state government is keen to invite Narayana Murthy to be present on the occasion of signing of MoU, officials said. |
