IT firm HCL Technologies today said it is in talks with Australia-based retail software solutions firm OLR for a possible acquisition.
In a joint statement, HCL said it will continue negotiations for acquiring OLR.
The financial details of the proposed deal was not shared.
Upon successful completion of negotiations, the new HCL-OLR combined business unit will be dedicated to offer solutions for retailers on database software company Oracle's technology.
The two companies expect to complete the negotiation process in the current quarter, the statement added.
OLR and HCL have been working together for more than a year and have jointly delivered significant benefits to retail organisations in areas of merchandising, supply chain and replenishment.
