Hewlett-Packard on Tuesday announced its leadership position in the overall disk storage market category capturing 27.7 per cent market share in customer revenues and 31.5 per cent in terabyte capacity, according to the latest International Data Corporation (IDC) 3Q 2005 figures. |
HP recorded a 25.7 per cent growth in revenues in the overall market (3Q05 over 3Q04) and sequentially, the revenue grew 21.8 per cent in 3Q05 as compared to 2Q05. |

In the same quarter, HP has also secured the top position in external disk storage market with a market share of 25.1 per cent, in customer revenue terms and 26.2 per cent in terms of terabyte capacity. |

Additionally, HP recorded a year-on-year growth of 49.9 per cent in 3Q05 over 3Q04, in terms of terabyte capacity. |
