Hewlett-Packard India, has introduced a range of mono laser all-in-one printers targeted at small and medium businesses. Tailored for volume printing, the new range is priced from Rs 19,000 onwards.

Based on the established HP LaserJet platform, the new LaserJet all-in-ones HP LaserJet 3015, HP LaserJet 3020, HP LaserJet 3030 and HP LaserJet 3380 provide scanning, printing, copying and faxing options.

Samir Shah, country category manager, shared printing and connectivity, imaging and printing group, Hewlett Packard India, said: "More for less is the driving force behind all product innovations in today's age. The new range of mono laser all-in-ones will enable cost sensitive businesses to reap benefits of consolidated workflows, reduced costs and increased productivity."

By consolidating imaging and printing functions, businesses can save time, reduce supplies and lower maintenance costs by as much as 30 per cent, according to a recent study by the Gartner group.

"We have taken the initiative to expand the all-in-one market in India. The new range will enable us to also tap the stand-alone fax and copier markets in India," he added.

Having just entered the segment, HP aims to be the market leader in the next two quarters. "We have just entered the segment and presently have around 10 per cent of the share. But with the segment growing at around nine per cent annually, we intend to attain market leadership in the segment by the next two quarters," Shah said. The overall laser market in the country is around 20,000 units a year.

Shah said that the all-in-one concept that has been launched will not compete with the colour-in-office concept that was launched recently. In fact, the two will complement each other. "The SMB segment in the country is huge. There is scope for both colour and the mono laser printers to grow at an extremely health rate," Shah said.
