Hutch offers international roaming on prepaid cards

Hutch, a cellular service provider in Gujarat, has announced full-fledged international roaming for its prepaid subscribers in the state.

Subscribers will be able to make and receive calls while traveling across 125 countries. Earlier, the prepaid subscriber could only receive calls while traveling outside the country.

"This is a unique offering to our prepaid customers which will help them to stay in touch even while traveling outside the country. This is one of the most value-enhancing service for our users in the prepaid category," said Sanjoy Mukherji, chief executive officer (CEO), Hutch.

To activate international roaming, Hutch prepaid subscribers will have to either send 'Roam World' as short messaging service (SMS) to 144 or dial 144 before they leave the country.

To make outgoing calls, the Hutch customer will have to dial *143* followed by 00, the ISD code, the STD code, the number to be called and then press # and OK.
