Leading business process outsourcing (BPO) company I-OneSource will invest $8 million to set up outsourcing centres in Northern Ireland. |
This is expected to create around 1,000 jobs over the next two years. The initiative is supported by Invest Northern Ireland (INI) and is expected to spend over £28 million in wages and salaries by 2008, according to a company press release. |

"We value the support and encouragement we have received from Invest Northern Ireland. The company sees tremendous opportunities in providing UK's leading companies with world-class business process management services and will be looking to grow our business rapidly in the coming years," said Ananda Mukerji, managing director & chief executive officer, I-OneSource. |
|
I-OneSource's launch in Northern Ireland reflects a second wave of outsourcing; having recognized the expertise of the best Indian outsourcing companies, organizations are asking them to use that capability to manage outsourced services in the UK, the release added. |
