To capture the focus of the customers the company is giving out prizes like Idea Chitchat starter packs, free ringtones and picture message downloads, free demonstration of the Cellular Jockey concept of music messaging. |
Vikram Mehmi, CEO, Idea Cellular said, "With a series of such road shows, we aim to reach out directly to the masses and educate them about our numerous exciting services, which will make their lives much more comfortable and colourful." |
"Idea was the first and only company to bring the concept of Cellular Jockey and offer Music Messaging to all its subscribers. Music Messaging is today available in English, Hindi and Telugu. Idea was the first company to launch Global SMS in the country, which allows the users to send and receive SMS from over 540 networks and 170 countries across the technology platforms like GSM, CDMA, TDMA and Satellite Phones," said Mehmi. |
After the success of the first series of road shows, the company now is conducting a full-fledged, dedicated activity that would run up to mid-March. |
Idea had recently conducted road shows in the key cities of the state, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot for a week each, which was, according to company officials, highly successful in terms of consumer participation. |
To keep the momentum going, a float is doing the rounds in Jamnagar, Vapi, Navsari, Bharuch, Junagarh and Mehsana. |
