Infosys, India’s second-largest IT services firm, has expanded its executive council—the second-highest decision-making body in the company after the board of directors.
The company has inducted six new faces to the executive council, while all the executive board members would continue to be in the new council. V Balakrishnan, Ashok Vemuri and B G Srinivas, who were part of the earlier executive council, and have recently been nominated to the board and would continue to be in the new executive council.
The senior executives of the company who have been inducted into the new executive council include U B Pravin Rao (senior vice-president, retail, CPG and logistics), Prasad Thrikutam (head, energy utilities communications and services), Steve Pratt, (CEO & MD, Infosys Consulting), Ramdas Kamath (senior vice-president, administration, commercial facilities and infrastructure) and Nandita Gurjar (senior vice-president and group head, human resources). Basab Pradhan, who recently rejoined Infosys as head (global sales), has also been inducted into the executive council.
“The new executive is a group of highly competent professionals who would closely work with the board in formulating business strategy and framing policies for the organisation. This is one of the most significant announcements that would shape the Infosys of tomorrow,” said CEO and MD, Kris Gopalakrishnan. With this, the strength of Infosys’ executive council has increased from 13 to 16.
