Infotech opens centre in Kakinada

Infotech Enterprises Limited, an engineering solutions provider, has opened its seventh development centre in the country at the Sarpavaram Special Economic Zone in Kakinada.

The campus, spread across five acres, will deliver solutions to customers primarily in oil & gas, energy and utilities sectors. “It is an extension of our strategy to grow inclusively by expanding operations in Tier II cities,” BVR Mohan Reddy, founder and chairman, Infotech Enterprises, said in a release on Friday.

The centre has 650 seats and employs 850 professionals. Infotech plans to ramp up this facility to 1,500 seats and employ 2,000 professionals by 2014, the release said. The centre will constitute over 95 per cent local and 30 per cent women employees.

This is Infotech’s second centre in Kakinada. It was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and human resources development (HRD) minister MM Pallam Raju.
