The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Young Indians (Yi) organised a round table discussion on ‘using IT for improved access to Education’ under its Next Practices concept here on Monday.
Rahul Mirchandani, national chair, Next Practices, Yi, and executive director, Aries Agro Limited, said, “Information technology (IT) should be used as a tool for inclusive access of education in rural areas. The curriculum should be designed with user-friendly technology.”
India being a source of global IT innovations, it should enable individuals to use IT for agriculture, arts, science, sports & literature, by practising inclusiveness and high moral standards, said Ganesh Natarajan, vice-chairman and chief executive office, Zensar Technologies.
“Next Practices is a critical focus area for us to engage our members and also showcase path-breaking thought leadership and to serve the purpose of identifying, analysing, debating and evangelising path breaking ideas, innovations and their developmental impact on India,” he said.
Next Practices was developed by CK Prahalad and part of his India@75 vision document and later adopted by the CII Yi.
