Telecom products manufacturer Kavveri Telecom plans to double its antenna and Radio Frequency (RF) based products capacity from the existing 1 lakh to 2 lakh by end FY08.According to company representatives, the demand for antennas from the mobile phone service providers has picked pace. "We intend to invest Rs 15 crore at our existing plants in Karnataka to increase production," C Shivakumar Reddy, MD, Kavveri Telecom said today.The company, whose customers include Vodafone and Idea, intends to increase the production of mobile phone base stations from the existing 25,000 to 35,000.The company plans to fund its expansion through a mix of debt and internal accruals.Kavveri Telecom recently acquired the IPR and patent for base station antennas from Ireland-based Sigma Wireless.
