KPIT to buy BPO firm for Rs 45 cr

The BPO firm to be acquired is into services in health care, finance & human resources.
 
Global technology solutions provider KPIT Cummins Infotech Ltd is close to acquire the BPO arm of a Delhi-based diversfied group for around Rs 45 crore.
 
The acquisition will help the company acquire certain key customers and emerge as a leading player in the BPO segment.
 
According to sources close to the deal, KPIT Cummins may announce the deal next week. However, the details of acquisition were not revealed.
 
Attempts to reach officials of KPIT Cummins Infotech were not successful. The media agency for KPIT Cummins said the company was "not willing to talk" at this juncture.

KPIT Cummins Infotech has a major presence in manufacturing, advanced technology solutions in automotive, industrial automation, semi-conductor solutions and diversified financial services verticals.
 
It came into being after the consummation of KPIT Infosystems, a home-grown Pune outfit, and Cummins Infotech, the software arm of Cummins India, in in 2002. During the same year, it acquired Houston-based Panex Consulting for $7 million.
