Lionbridge sets up Chennai facility

Lionbridge Technologies, a Nasdaq listed global software solution and testing service provider, has set up its Chennai facility with an initial investment of $ 2 million (about Rs 8.75 cr).
 
According to a Lionbridge press release, Satish Maripuri, chief operating officer, Lionbridge, said that the facility in Chennai will initially recruit over 250 developers, test engineers and project managers with plans for additional expansion as clients increase.
 
It will also include a comprehensive testing lab for Lionbridge's VeriTest testing division. The testing division will provide an independent quality assurance and software testing services to enterprise organisation worldwide.
 
The new centre will enable Lionbridge and VeriTest to meet increasing demand for cost-effective application development, content development and testing solutions.
 
VeriTest provides a range of testing services that enable clients to ensure quality, usability, interoperability and performance of products, etc.
 
Lionbridge has its operations in Mumbai with an employee base of 1,000 skilled engineering and content development professionals.
