Mobile-commerce company My Mobile Payments (MMPL) has launched its operations in Uttar Pradesh. It is eyeing tie-ups with 10,000 outlets in the next three months for its
M-commerce suite. The service, called ‘Money on Mobile’, is an M-wallet service to facilitate payment using mobile phones instead of cash, cheque or credit/debit cards. MMPL offers pre-paid and electronic payment instruments to mobile phone and DTH subscribers for purchasing goods and services, and merchants to accept payments on their mobile phones without using a point of sale terminal.
