Magma Design Automation India, a provider of semiconductor design software, said that it has entered into a pact with Anna University, as part of its initiative to increase the number of professionals trained on state-of-the-art IC implementation tools. The partnership has resulted in the successful completion of a telecom chip using Magma's design system. |
It also said that Ahmedabad based e-Infochips, a chip and product design services firm has adopted Magma based implementation software. |

With this electronic design automation software, eInfochips can offer comprehensive, RTL-to-GDSII design and verification of SoC for the computing,consumer electronics and communications markets. |

"We would like to thank Magma Design Automation for providing advanced technology, dedicated support and in-depth training for our students," said N Gunasekaran, head of the Electrical and Communication Electronics Department of Anna University. |

"We are enthused by the rapid tape out and will expand our VLSI course offerings using Magma as the IC implementation vehicle," he added. |
