Nanotech meet to begin Dec 8

The third edition of the ‘Bangalore Nano’, organised by the Karnataka State IT, BT and S&T department, will see RICH or the Research Industry Collaboration Hub for the first time. Some eight startup companies will pitch for investments or research collaborations for the VC communityôresearch insitutions.

The two-day event is expected to see participation of nanotechnology experts from across the globe and it will also provide an opportunity to showcase exciting nanotechnology products.

The conference will discuss various issues pertaining to the growth of nanotechnology industry in India, especially in Karnataka.

Briefing reporters about the event, Ashok Kumar C Manoli, Principal Secretary Department of IT, BT and S&T Karnataka said, “The third edition of Bangalore Nano has evolved itself from the previous versions. The event comprises multi-track conferences, exhibition, lectures on business opportunities in nanotechnology, energy & environment, nano medicine, nano electronics, and nano materials.”

Bangalore Nano will act as a platform for nurturing the booming nanotechnology industry in the country.”

The department expects a participation of over 400 delegates and 30 exhibitors from across the globe with strong participation of over 200 organisations from 12 countries like Germany, USA, UK, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, Poland with Germany being the country partner.

“The conference will be addressed by over 45 speakers and experts,” Manoli added.
