nCode Solutions to set up more data centres soon

Having launched a 6,000 sq ft huge state data centre (SDC) for the Gujarat government, the IT division of Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers Corporation (GNFC), nCode Solutions, now plans to take up more projects in and outside the state. For the year 2010, the company plans to construct 5-6 more satellite data centres.

Talking about the company plans, Jagdeep S Kochar, executive director, IT Division (nCode Solutions) said, "This year, we intend to set up 5-6 more data centres for various clients. Most of the data centres will be in Gujarat except for a few. We are still in talks with players for these data centres. Together, all these data centres may roughly amount to an investment of Rs 20 crore."

Recently, the Gujarat government unveiled a state data centre for its various projects that has been developed by nCode Solutions.

nCode Solutions has also tied up with NIC of government of India for management of e-procurement for the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana.

According to Kochar, the company will be rolling out the e-procurement project in 11 states under the programme including Maharashtra, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Haryana and Rajasthan. "By the end of this year, all the states will be covered," Kochar added.

The company also launched a security application and management services, Auth(n)ticate, sometime back. Under Auth(n)thicate, the company has also developed eight different methods of verification including short messaging services on mobile phones, global positioning system (GPS) and number grid cards for enhancing the security.

Depending on the kind of method selected by the financial institution or its customers, nCode Solutions would be charging between Rs 100 and Rs 200 per user per annum for Auth(n)ticate.
