A former scientist of the Department of Atomic Energy, Mannem Murthy, has developed an anti-radiation gadget called 'Safe Life'. |
The device, according to Murthy, will contain the radiation affects of computers, televisions and cell phones.The Visakhapatnam chapter of the Computer Society of India recently recognised Murthy's invention. |

Murthy told Business Standard on Thursday that his patented device would be commercially launched in a week's time.It would be priced at about Rs 1,000. |

Explaining about the device, Murthy said, "the herbal and inorganic material kept in silver enclosure will absorb radioactive rays. The gadget has been designed with Vedic concept tuned with modern technology." |

He, however, declined to disclose the specific material used for making the gadget. |
