The opportunities in the Indian small- and medium-business sector have made Oracle and HP forge a partnership to deliver complete software, hardware and service solution tailored to the needs of mid-size companies in India. |
Since the launch of the partnership known as HP-Oracle Accelerate Programme almost two months back, the companies have won about 25 midsize companies as its customers, and are set for making a rapid stride in the Indian market. |

The new offerings comprise combinations of Oracle Accelerate solutions on Oracle E-business Suite and JD Edwards suite of products and HP reference configurations. Globally, both HP and Oracle continues to maintain strong partnership for the last 25 years. The companies claim to have over 140,000 joint customers both in the enterprise and SMB segments. |

The overall IT market in India including the hardware, is estimated to be about $1074 million, according to AMI Research. Of this, the enterprise software market is estimated to be $38.8 million. |
