Propart to manage back-office operations of US firm

Propart Solutions India Private Limited, a business process management (BPM) company operating from Hyderabad and Chennai, has entered into a contract with Material Handling Equipment Corporation of the US to implement SAP and manage the back-office operations thereafter.
 
The contract, worth over $1 lakh, is for an initial period of one year, extendible by another 12 months.
 
According to company's chief executive officer A S Durgaprasad, all the back-office operations of the US-based company would be transferred to Propart by next month as per the agreement.
 
Propart would not only be managing the day-to-day transaction processing but also provide services like procurement planning, inventory management, cash flow planning and budgetary control. It is also mandated to provide MIS and Business Intelligence.
 
All processes relating to strategic and operational control will also be supported by Propart from its main processing centre, located at Hyderabad.
 
"The two companies are now working on a unique outsourcing model with exciting new ideas to deliver high-end business processes and information management services using a bouquet of technology applications. You will have to wait for another 10-12 weeks before I can share anything more specific," Prasad said.
