Career training firms aiming at confidence building of candidates seeking IT, ITeS and other jobs are finding Mysore an attractive market to branch out.

Within a month, the Bangalore-headquartered Protocol became the third such centre to announce the launch of such career building programmes in Mysore, after Raman International Institute of Information Technology (RiiiT) and Haya Career Zone.

Protocol President R Venkatesh said in Mysore that his centre for confidence building will launch courses to train students, executive wives and home-makers in self-grooming, etiquette, body language, communication, inter-personal and other soft skills in April second week, teaming up with the local CCTV firm, Bizzworld.

The courses are two days to 10 days long based on the candidates' requirement and the cost will range between Rs 2,000 and Rs 3,000.

Such a programme is being launched for the first time in this tier II city.

"Mysore is attracting more and more software, BPO and related industries. It is important that local persons should find jobs in these companies. An essential part of securing a good placement is personality development, fine tuning oneself to face interview with good communication, etiquette and body language," he said.

"Students have benefited immensely by our programmes which train them to face interviews confidently. Working women and home makers have appreciated our programmers be it in self-grooming, hosting parties or even conversational skills," he added.

Bizzworld Business Head Farooq-e-Azam said the intake would be limited to 25 to offer one-to-one customised training.
