Rajiv Arya is new head of Moser Baer Photo Voltaic

Ravi Khanna, the chief executive of Moser Baer Photo Voltaic — a division of Moser Baer — has quit the company to join Norway-headquartered Scatec Solar with effect from November 14. Khanna had been with the company for the last 18 months.

Khanna has been succeeded by Rajiv Arya who was COO of the PV business. Arya who joined Moser Baer in September 2007, was the chief technology officer of California-based OptiSolar. Between 2003 and 2006, he launched a solar technology and business consulting firm called Arya International in Oregon, US.

Khanna had been responsible for the acquisitions of technology firms and setting up of a technology centre working on emerging and disruptive technologies, which will position the company to reach giga watt level capacities by 2012. He was also on the board of two US firms — Solaria and Stion Corporation.

Prior to this, Khanna had a stint of more than 10 years with Delphi Corporation in various positions and exited the company as the country manager for India and Thailand.
