Developed by Indian game developer Dream Games, Rama Force is a real-time strategy (RTS) game for mobile devices. The story is based on the Ramayana and includes characters from the epic.
It consists of six levels, three of which need to be unlocked by paying Rs 62. The first two levels are farming campaigns while the last four levels involve battle and tower defence.
In the first level, one has to score 5,000 points and buy a pottery plant to advance. Shabari, a character from the epic, guides you through the goals for a particular level. The story advances in level 2 after purchasing a cart and arrow plants along with 20,000 points. Characters such as Rama, Lakshmana, Hanuman and Sugreeva are also introduced in this level. The last four levels involve tower defence and require your strategic skills. You have to make sure that enemies don't cross your defence towers as a blue meter, on the top of the screen, empties as enemies cross the towers. If the meter goes empty, your game's over.
Rama Force can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store on Android devices. It is a decent effort but Indian game developers have a long way to go before making it to the league of bigwigs such as Gameloft and Rovio.
