Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Vice Chairman S Ramadorai has been appointed advisor to Prime Minister Manomhan Singh on skill development. Ramadorai will enjoy the rank equivalent to a cabinet minister.
While Ramadorai, who is now in Davos to attend the World Economic Forum meeting, could not be reached for comments, sources in the know said a formal announcement will be made on Monday. Unlike Nandan Nilekani, the TCS vice chairman will not exit the company and will continue to be on its board in a non-executive capacity.
