Ramco Systems plans to release a stripped down version of its corporate performance management software product " Decision Works " by next month to target the fast growing small and medium business (SMB) segment. |
The stripped down version " Decision Works lite " will be a fit for organisations interested in parts of DW rather than all four modules. For the SMB segment, Ramco is offering only two modules of the business intelligence software suite; business integrator and business decisions. DW Lite will cost Rs 10,000 versus the full DW suite which costs between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000. |
"In the next two to three years, we expect DecisionWorks to contribute to about 10 to 20 per cent of Ramco's overall revenues. The plan for the coming year is to take the product forward with partners," said Chandra Prabhakar, general manager, Decision Works. |
The company has plans to sign on about two to three partners in India and 10-12 partners in Europe and the ASEAN countries in 2005-06. |
The other two modules, strategic requirements (balanced scorecard) and advanced requirements like analytical workflow and planning and budgeting can be procured by the customer after implementing the base components. |
The complete DW software suite is an end-to-end solution allows for planning, monitoring, analysing and reporting on an organisation's critical business processes. |
DW addresses the needs of enterprise analytics for vertical markets such as service (financial, government, education and health care), asset intensive (aviation, fleet management and utilities) and manufacturing (process and discrete). |
DW can be used by organisations to capture various data from disparate systems of most departments in an organisation, viewed as a scorecard and analysed to take decisions at the operational and strategic level. Since all of this can be done in real time it decreases the time taken to make critical business decisions. |
DW already has about 20 odd implementations. These include eThekwini (Durban Municipality, South Africa) for eGovernance, Petroleum Helicopters Inc (US) for global HR analytics, Andhra Pradesh police to maintain information and enhance the performance of the force and Moser Baer (India) for supply chain analytics. |
