Anil Ambani group firm Reliance Communications (RCom) today said it has added 3.25 million wireless subscribers in December 2010, crossing the 125 million customer mark.
The company added 3.25 million wireless subscribers on its GSM and CDMA platforms in December, RCom said in a statement. It offers wireless services using both the technologies.
According to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai), about 19 million subscribers were added in October 2010, taking the total wireless subscribers in the country to 706.69 million at the end of that month.
Leading operators Bharti Airtel and Vodafone had a total of 146.29 million and 118.03 million subscribers at the end of October 2010, according to the Trai data. Both the operators offer just GSM services.
Trai is yet to release the November and December figures.
