"You have missed calls" is the new way by which the mobile subscribers will be acknowledged of the calls they may have missed in the recent past. |
Reliance Communications, a member of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, have come up with this method to help customers keep track of their calls, even when the mobile is switched off. |
The company has launched a 'Missed Call Alert' (MCA) service. The MCA is a communication solution which allows Reliance subscribers to keep a total track of all unanswered or rejected calls. The new system will be able to identify the caller's number whenever they miss a call. |
Giving the details of the service, Saleem Haq, CEO, Reliance Communications, Uttar Pradesh (East) said: "This MCA service provides prompt alerts to subscribers who have turned off their wireless phones, travelled outside their coverage area or experienced network congestion preventing call completion. When the subscriber becomes available, a short message service (SMS) message notifies the subscriber of the missed call and identifies the caller's telephone number, time and date of the call." |
Haq further added, "There is no charge for activating the service. Subscribers pay only for what they retrieve." |
Under this, all Reliance postpaid subscribers are auto provisioned for Missed Call Alert while it's prepaid, Reliance Hello-postpaid and prepaid and FWT customers have to register for receiving MCAs. |
Subscribers can retrieve missed call numbers for the past 72 hours or maximum 50 missed calls. |
