The Indian accounting sector regulator said on Saturday it is meeting this month-end to decide on disciplinary proceedings against tainted chartered accountants involved in the nearly Rs 8,000-crore Satyam Computer fraud.
“One meeting we have fixed is on March 30. We will go ahead and will proceed in the matter,” President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Amarjit Chopra, said.
He added there was no delay on ICAI’s part in initiating disciplinary action against PW auditors Talluri Srinivas and Subramani Gopalakrishnan.
