Scandent Solutions has announced the launch of its product lifecycle management (PLM) innovation centre in Bangalore. The centre will offer a range of PLM solutions and services to the automotive, hi-tech and consumer packaged goods sectors, the company informed. |
"The PLM innovation centre is an extended facility for our customers and is a commitment to our client base," said Ramachandran K, head of the PLM, Scandent. |

The global market for PLM software and services is expected to grow by a compound annual growth rate of almost 10 per cent through 2007 to more than $12.4 billion, according to Daratech, an independent research firm. |

According to the company, the facility will serve as a knowledge repository of learning gleaned from Scandent's worldwide customer engagements and new innovative frameworks developed through these engagements. |

He said Scandent's creation of a PLM innovation centre (PIC) was a significant milestone in moving the company's services higher up on the value chain. |

More than 150 PLM consultants from Scandent are currently engaged in supporting leading customers in the automotive and manufacturing industry. |
