Singapore firm to offer Novell courses in India

The privately held company, partly funded by Temasek Holdings Linked Investments owned by the Singapore government, recently became the platinum partner to Novell to offer the latter's commercial technical instruction programmes in the country.

Novell, which provides secure identity management, web application development and cross-platform networking services, bought Suse Linux Enterprise for $210 million (Rs 840 crore) in 2003.

"Of late, there has been enormous momentum in the Indian market in adopting Linux, with even state governments willing to embrace it as it is relatively free. We will be offering Novell's four major certification programmes
