Sonata Software Ltd has announced that it has been allotted 8 acres of land in Hyderabad for setting up an information technology campus.

The Information Technology and Communication Department of the Andhra Pradesh government has allotted the land to the company in the bustling IT hub of Poppalguda, near here.

The company already has a presence in Hyderabad and operates an 800-people facility in the city. Situated about two km from the Hyderabad airport, this development centre plays host to some of the company's key international clients, managing their enterprise applications and IT infrastructure.

The proposed development centre will function as a dedicated facility for global clients, and further fuel the company's growth and presence in the region.

The company was recently awarded the memorandum of understanding to this effect by chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

"The new campus will help extend our world-class infrastructure to support our future growth plans," B Ramaswamy, president and managing director of the company, stated.
