Sony India on Monday unveiled its all new “X” series smartphones with the launch of the Xperia X and Xperia XA. These advanced smartphones are designed to further elevate the smartphone experience for its consumers, the company said in a statement.
The Sony Xperia X, at Rs 48,990, is the premium version of the two devices with a 5-inch full HD display and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor. It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, which is ecpandable. The Xperia X features a 23-megapixel (MP) rear camera, the same one on found on the Z5 and Z5 Premium, and a 13MP front camera. It has a 2,620-mAh battery with Sony’s battery saving technology.
The phone is 7.9-mm thick and weighs 153 g. It also features a fingerprint scanner which is embedded into the power button. The Sony Xperia X will be available in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colour options.
Sony Xperia XA, at Rs 20,990, is the affordable version of the Xperia X. It features a 5-inch 720p HD display and is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 processor. The smartphone comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
It has a 2,300-mAh battery and features 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The smartphone skips the fingerprint scanner and will be available in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colour variants.
Both phones would be available exclusively on Amazon. The Xperia X goes on sale starting June 6 while the XA will be available from the third week of June.
