Here’s an app for all daily movie and television show buffs. Singapore-based Spuul has a number of choices for popular movies and TV shows, with options to select from your interesting genre or languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Marathi, among others.

The app can be downloaded for free and is available both on Android and iOS platforms for phones, TV (Samsung, Panasonic, LG), Airplay on iOS and Chromecast on Android. One can easily log in through Facebook or email. There are three kinds of accounts —free, premium (subscription costs ~300) and special that includes pay-per-view charge of ~60 per movie (currently, Kill Dill, Daawat-e-Ishq and Mardaani are the special ones). The app also features independent short films.

Spuul updates its content on a weekly basis. The video-streaming is very smooth and hence, forget buffering while watching videos on the app. Now, if you want to take a power nap while watching a movie, you have that option too, thanks to the seamless option of returning back to start watching again from where you stopped.

The content is supported via Wi-Fi or 3G and requires no separate login to watch different videos. The variety of content that the app provides makes it quite an attractive package. However, getting more recent movies that are box office successes under the special ‘status’ category might increase the popularity of the app.
